When you're in high school you expect the boys to not know anything about periods. The teachers however have no excuse. This mum was shocked to find out that one of her daughter's male teachers asked her to 'hold in' her period during class.

Some played devil's advocate and said that girls often use the period excuse to get out of class and that she could've waited for the half hour easily.

Other commenters agreed with OP, saying that people have different kinds of periods and it was likely that the 30-minute wait would have been too much.
