Teen Harasses Mom On Subway, Doesn't Realize She'll Take Matters Into Her Own Hands

On the subway, a teenager both verbally and physically harasses a female passenger.

The incident was caught on camera by one of the other commuters using her smartphone, and she posted the shocking video online.

The video was uploaded by Virginia Beach resident Ashlynn Young on May 1st, 2015.

“That’s someone’s mother. Kids don’t have respect at all!” she posted.

The short video clip, which only contains around 30 seconds of footage, is more than enough to convey the intensity of the woman's dispute with the disrespectful kid. The teen kept getting closer and closer, threatening the woman, and the intensity grows.

Prior to the beginning of the video, the woman appears to have dared the teen to spit in his face.

The young man then continued to provoke her and threatened to knock her unconscious.

She challenged the young man to touch her so that she would be in the right to defend herself, showing that she wasn't afraid of a confrontation.

Fortunately for her, she had already prepared the perfect line of protection. But the young man didn't see this one coming.

She reached for a small can of pepper spray in her purse. She didn't hesitate to use it, and she instantly aimed the teen's face!

The teen stepped back in complete shock and misery, as one might expect. This woman's pepper spray instantly put an end to the harassment.

Over 40,000 people shared the video on Facebook after it became popular.

Although some individuals claimed that the woman had every right to use the pepper spray, others believe that the verbal argument escalated unnecessarily into a violent one.

“She did not instigate she warned, the kid was already threatening her… learn the difference and stop enabling these kids to be bullies whole complaining about it in schools,” one commenter wrote according to America News.

She yelled at him to remove his hands after using the pepper spray on her. While some subway riders were astonished, others praised the woman for up for herself.

This particular teen has definitely learned his lesson, that much is certain.
