Only 1 in 1000 centenarians, people who are over 100 years old. reach the age of 110, which makes them supercentenarians. Only 2 percent of supercentenarians live to see age 115. That's why the people on this list are so extraordinary, they are verified supercentenarians who have lived long and interesting lives.
#2 Emma Morano
Born on November 29, 1899, Emma Martina Luigia Morano is the last living person to have been born in the 19th century. The 116-year-old resides in Palencia, Italy and has outlived every other member of her family including the son she gave birth to in 1937 who died at 6-months-old. When her husband died in 1978 she went into solitude, working in the kitchen of a boarding school until they forced her to retire at age 75. Despite her age, she is still able to care for herself, citing a diet of 3 raw eggs every day along with homemade brandy.

Violet Brown is the oldest living Jamaican person EVER. Born on March 10th, 1900, she remains as the last living subject of Queen Victoria who once controlled Jamaica in a way that Brown says was "like slavery." Over the course of her life, Violet gave birth to 4 children, the oldest of which is 96 years old Harold Fairweather who is known to be the oldest living person to still live with a parent.
#4 Ana Maria Vela Rubio
Born on October 29, 1901, Ana holds the record as the oldest living person in Spain and the second oldest living European. She worked as a seamstress most of her life. She never married, though she had four children with a partner, one of whom died at the age of 10 and another at the age of 82 when Ana was 104. Her surviving children are 82 and 84 years old.

This Woodland Park, New Jersey resident was born on December 12, 1902, and was dubbed the oldest living person in the United States after the death of Goldie Michelson of Massachusettes. When asked what it felt like to be an American, she replied, "Well, I've never been anything else." She has only ever lived in the state of New Jersey.
#6 Marie Josephine Gaudette
Born March 25, 1902, Marie Josephine Gaudette is the oldest living American-born individual. The difference between New Jersey's Adele Dunlap and Marie is that Dunlap still lives in the US while Marie left in 1958 to become a nun in Rome, Italy. She returned to America briefly in 2008 and voted for the very first time in the Presidential election between Obama and McCain. She later returned to Rome and other than severe hearing loss, she is still active and healthy.

As the third oldest person in Italy, Giuseppina Projetto-Frau is close to taking the lead after living an extraordinary life. Born on May 30, 1902, she was one of four children but only had three children of her own, one of whom she currently lives with in Sicily.

Born on January 2, 1903, Kane Tanaka is still ticking after living through some of the worst times the world has ever seen. She is the 4th oldest living person from Japan. She currently resides in a nursing home and writes poetry and gets around with nothing more than a walker.

The third oldest person alive in Japan, Yukie was born in 1902 and made it through both world wars, likely emerging on the other side of the conflicts with more stories to tell at her advanced age. Little is known about the 114-year-old woman though it is believed that she has the secret to eternal life. Her birthplace remains a mystery and a search for her surname online turns up millions of results, making it impossible to find any ancestors.
#10 Chiyo Miyako
Chiyo Miyako is the second oldest person living in Japan and was born in 1901 in Perfecto. Not much is known about Chiyo and her life and age are not widely publicized. What can be deduced from the aging woman is that as of her 114th birthday her health was not at its best. Her granddaughter Naoto posted pictures of the aging woman on Twitter and said that looking at her ailing grandmother was painful.

Playful Nabi Tajima was born on August 4th, 1900 and is the oldest living person in Japan. Born in the Wan Village of Arakai, Nabi lived a fruitful life that gives her an extended bloodline of over 128 which includes 9 children, 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 34 great-great-grandchildren. With all the great-great-great-grandchildren running around, her descendant line is close to over 150. When she does pass, she knows she is leaving behind a long line of Tajima's.
