#1 Golf Balls

It was the day everyone got fractured skulls when on September 1, 1969, the dreams of all Floridian golf fans came true. They were awoken to virtually hundreds of golf balls falling from the skies like dimpled snowflakes. Meteorologists believe a tornado passed through the town of Punta Gorda, which is home to most of Florida's golf courses, swallowing up a pond filled with golf balls and raining them down on the streets as it passed through the area.

#2 Feces

A sweet sixteen birthday party was totally ruined when the unimaginable happened. Guests of the outdoor party began getting pelted with human feces falling from the sky above. The 2015 event in Levittown, Pennsylvania ruined the party as the poop slathered everything in full force, sending guest scrambling for cover. It was later discovered that several planes were flying in the area at that time and might explain why the family was hit with falling crap.

#3 Cows

In 1997 a Japanese fishing trawler was rescued by a Russian patrol boat in the Sea of Japan. When the castaways were asked how their boat came to be in distress they said that a cow fell from the sky. They were not believed and authorities put the crew in jail. But two weeks later the Russian Air Force informed Japan that it had dropped a cow from a plane that was causing a ruckus on board one of their planes and they had to drop it from 30,000 feet or crash the entire plane. They never explained why they had cows on board the plane.

#4 Spiders

On April 6, 2007, a nightmare occurred in Argentina when it began raining spiders! Several hikers noticed the different species of spiders in the area that would not normally be seen together when they looked up and saw them coming from the sky. Twenty-year-old arachnophobic Erick Reis was driving in town and caught the phenomenon on his phone and posted it to YouTube, where it went viral. Falling spiders have also been spotted in the skies in Florida, Brazil, Australia, and several other places around the world.

#5 Candy

Lucky residents of Napa, California were blessed in 1857 when candy began falling out of the clear blue sky. The shower of sweets was described as being crystals the size of a goose quill, and as sweet as molasses. The women of the area put the candy to good use and made hundreds of gallons of syrup from the unusual, and unexplained phenomenon. It has never happened again.

#6 Frogs

In a weird atmospheric event that appeared to straight out of the Biblical plagues, frogs began falling from the sky in Elder, Vermont in 1979. A shopkeeper heard thumping that she thought was a severe rain storm when she looked out to see thousands and thousands of frogs come crashing to the ground from the sky. The downpour of the tiny frogs happened for over 20 minutes before the grounds of the town were completely covered. The event is not the only time this has happened, as there are numerous reports of toad and frog rains throughout history all over the world. Because it happens so frequently, it's believed the little toads and frogs get picked up naturally by the atmosphere and then are released like a natural rain storm. Yuck!

#7 Meat

The movie Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs may have been inspired by this actual event that occurred in 1876 in Britain. Pieces of meat began to fall from the sky and the chunks covered roughly a square mile after the shower was finished. One brave man took a bite of what residents believed was meat, and he discovered that it was either mutton or venison meat. Further examination by The Royal Microscopical Society of Great Britain determined the meat was actually lung tissue from either a horse or a human infant. It's believed a pack of buzzards had probably just eaten a pack of dead horses and either dropped or expelled the meat.

#8 Marijuana

They heard a big crashing sound that they believed was two cars crashing outside, but an Arizona family was shocked in 2015 to find that something had fallen out of the sky and totalled their car. It was a 28-pound bundle of pot. The heavy package crashed through the roof of their carport, smashing their car, and then bouncing off and crushing their dog crate. Below all the debris was a package of marijuana wrapped in plastic and duct tape. After calling the local police, the family was told that smugglers normally drop the packages into open fields so it can be collected, but apparently, they had missed their intended target. The pot was worth over $10,000.

#9 Money

Everyone wishes money would literally fall from the skies. Well, this miracle has actually happened a few times throughout history and a lucky few have witnessed it happening. In December 1975 hundreds of one dollar bills totaling $588 fell from the skies over Chicago, Illinois. In 1968, hundreds of pennies came showering down from the heavens outside a store in Ramsgate, England. The store's cashier claimed the coins came down in short, scattered bursts for fifteen minutes. The coins appeared to be dented as if they had fallen from a high altitude, but there weren't any planes or tall buildings in the area.

#10 Worms

EleanorBeal was on her way to work at the Jennings Police Department in Louisiana in 2007 when she experienced something truly weird as she crossed the street. Very large, tangled clumps of live worms began hitting her on the head as they fell from the sky above. It was determined that the worms were collected from nearby swamps when a waterspout touched down a few miles away and hit land. It is believed that the water spout collected the worms and later dropped them while passing by. However, no official explanation has been given. The same thing happened in 2007 in the UK when students were suddenly pelted with dozens of earthworms that seemed to be raining from the sky.

#11 Blood

In 2008, residents of Columbian town La Sierra Choco claimed that blood actually rained down on the small fishing community for over 30 minutes. A bacteriologist brought in from another town to test a sample of the substance confirmed that it was in fact blood from a mammal, but was not sure it was from a human. The town's parish priest, Johnny Milton Cordoba, claimed the blood was a sign from God and suggested that people urgently needed to change their sinful ways. It also rained blood in several other areas in the last 25 years, including London, Tokyo, and several areas in South America.

#12 Nondairy Creamer

In 1969 in the town of Chester, South Carolina, there was enough cream for everyone's coffee and it came falling from the skies. The Borden company, which manufactures Cremora, a powdered non-dairy creamer had a problem with its exhaust vents. Each time the vents got clogged, puffs of the creamer would spew out into the air and get picked up bu the atmosphere. However, when it rained, it dumped a gunky, sticky mess on the town. Thankfully for the town, though, the Borden company fixed the problem and was eventually slapped with a $4,000 fine for "releasing Cremora beyond plant boundaries".

#13 Star Jelly

It's as weird as it sounds. Star jelly is a gooey jelly-like substance that falls from the sky and is usually found in grass and trees. Scientists have yet to agree as to what it actually is, and believe it could be remnants from a meteor shower or regurgitated frog and toad ovaries dropped from a bird. They continue to test the goo and it is being discovered all over the world in places like Canada, Mexico, and Scotland. No definitive explanations have been determined.

#14 Fish

In 2004, locals from Lajamanu reported hundreds and hundreds of small white fish falling from the sky. The town is on the edge of the Tanami Desert and is hundreds of miles from any lakes or open waters. The event happened again three different times in 2010 and again in 2015. Scientists are blaming the bizarre events on water spouts which suck the fish up from the sea and drop them down where they touch ground.

#15 Army Humvees

On April 11, 2016, Army humvees were dropped from the planes of the USA's 173rd Airborne Brigade in Germany where they were experimenting with a rigging mechanism to keep the heavy vehicles intact. However, three of the humvees broke loose and plummeted to the ground with an explosive impact. The soldiers watching were laughing as they recorded the incident of falling humvees. Witnesses were shocked and frightened to see the huge vehicles falling out of the air, but thankfully no one was hurt.

#16 Puppy

In 2012, a seven-year-old boy witnessed a month-old puppy plummet into his grandmother's backyard in Los Banos, California. The boy was allowed to adopt the tiny pooch after Grandma dispensed this pearl of advice: ‘When God drops a puppy from the sky, you keep it.'

It's possible the kid wished for a puppy while blowing out the candles on his last birthday cake, but it's suspected the puppy's appearance had less to do with God or magic and more to do with that predatory bird circling over Grandma's place.

#17 Sex Doll

We saved the best for last, of course. In April of 2016, a fisherman in Indonesia thought that he had discovered a fallen angel when he witnessed a female fall from the sky and land on the beach before him. He brought the human-like figure home with him and changes its clothes every day. The family gathered to worship the 'angel' and word soon spread in the community that the family had found her and were being blessed. They then told the local news about their discovery. However, thanks to social media, it was found that the 'angel'was actually a sex doll, much to the villager's horror.
