Woman drops boyfriend on Christmas day as he gives her cheap bottle of supermarket wine and presents his genitals as the real present.
“The Rest Of Your Present Is In My Pants”: Woman Breaks Up With Boyfriend Because Of Gift
Ever heard of that 1960s cliche where the husband gets his wife a vacuum cleaner for Christmas and is promptly whacked across the head with it? Well, looks like it has a modern alternative except this time it’s $5 wine and an underwhelming romp in the bed. Decades of audacity, I tell you.
Maybe it was the twinkling lights that finally lit up OP's brain when she decided to end her relationship.
She said there was a lot going on in her life with moving house and having a new job.
For Christmas, she went the extra mile to get presents for him and his daughter. She wasn't expecting something expensive since she knew that her boyfriend didn't earn much.
But low expectations don't mean no expectations.
She proceeded to set up the house and make sure everything looked perfect the day of.
When her boyfriend finally arrived he made fun of her makeup and then her Santa hat. He also called her a 'ridiculous cartoon' but happily accepted Airpods as his Christmas present.
OP also gave his daughter some presents and sent her off on her way to her mom's. When OP's boyfriend three hours later, OP's Christmas joy had already started dimming.
The two watched TV and that's when he took out her Christmas present (which we presume he got on the way back). It was $5 supermarket wine.
OP's mood immediately soured at receiving this gift and it was evident on her face.
When he realized he had messed up, he offered her an IOU and continued to say that the rest of her present was 'in his pants'.
OP, bless her heart thought he was joking but no, he did indeed mean his privates.
OP was done with the whole thing. She told him to leave, parts and all and took back the AirPods she had given him. Christmas was officially ruined.
when he reached out sometime later, OP broke up with him.
And if you believe what they say about apples and trees, this one didn't fall far from it. They called her materialistic and that she was being unfair.
Commenters in true Reddit fashion told her to break up. This time, however, they're probably right.
They said it was about the lack of respect.
Most were turned off by the pants comment.
