WWE legend The Undertaker saved his wife from a shark during a beach outing, standing guard until the shark left. Fans humorously credited his intimidating presence for the shark's retreat.
The Undertaker Steps In To Save Wife From Shark In Shocking Video
During a beach outing, The Undertaker, known by his real name Mark Calaway, intervened to drive away a shark after his wife noticed its presence in the water.
The renowned WWE figure has been happily married to fellow professional wrestler Michelle McCool-Calaway since 2010, and the couple has been taking some well-deserved leisure time on their vacation.
While Michelle, 43, was peacefully reading a book by the shore, she sighted what she believed to be a shark and urgently called upon her husband to assist her.
Michelle praised her 'protector' husband in a video she posted on social media, writing: “I was simply enjoying a book on the beach when this ‘vegetation’ looked a lot like a shark….. so I text hubby @undertaker kinda digging that last picture …A LOT #myprotector”.
The shark, which is thought to be a nurse shark and is non-lethal to humans, can be seen swimming in the crystal-clear water in the video as 58-year-old Calaway, who is obviously dressed entirely in black, stands in the water nearby keeping watch.
Bikini-clad Michelle clarifies: “OK, I text my husband because… this guy right here. I just knew it was a shark. Look how close we are.”
A second video shows the shark making a quick exit while the Undertaker defiantly stands in the water with his hands on his hips, clearly ordering the fish to leave the area right away.
Holding the camera, Michelle comments: “Yep. OK. Guess I wasn’t big enough to scare him away but you are.”
To be honest, I believe he is large enough to scare off the majority of animals and people.
As you might expect, wrestling fans quickly flooded the comments section, all but certain that they knew why the shark had refrained from fighting with Calaway.
One wrote: “I think you forgot your husband is THE Undertaker lol. That shark wanted no smoke.”
Another said: “Transformed from Jaws to Nemo soon as he saw Taker in his line of vision.”
A third commented: “The shark didn't want to go one on one with The Undertaker!”
While someone else said: “That shark didn’t want the smoke from your husband! Shark said ‘I wanna live today’.”
“It’s almost like the shark knew its fate and decided to swim off,” commented another fan.
A sixth person asked: "Is it illegal to tombstone a shark? Genuinely curious lol."
Michelle's appreciation for her husband's protective nature resonated with fans, who eagerly shared their humorous and entertaining interpretations of the incident.
