Specialist Christopher Garrett was shot and wounded in Afghanistan while serving as a combat engineer with the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division.
The Veterans Wife Was Nervous When He Walked In Crying, Then He Showed Her This Letter
#1 Totally Disabled Veteran
Garret received medical treatment and was classified as 100% disabled when he was sent back to Enterprise, Oregon to his wife Brittany and his son. He decided he would not let his disability stand in his way of living his life to the fullest. He did everything he could do around the house and even managed to use a push mower to mow the huge lawn at least once a week.
#2 Something Amazing Happened
"Where do I begin? Something AMAZING happened today!" Garrett's wife Brittany wrote on Facebook. "As I was getting ready for my day, my husband appeared at the door with tears in his eyes holding our son. My heart sank and I thought someone we love took a trip to Heaven."
#3 Someone Surprised The Military Vet
Garret quickly assured her that nobody had died and that something wonderful had just happened. He wouldn't be going through his agonizing pain any longer to mow their lawn. Someone had left a note and a John Deere riding mower in their driveway.
#4 A John Deere Riding Mower Appeared Annonymously
The expensive John Deere riding mower and touching note anonymously appeared at their home. They have no idea who left it there but assume someone had been watching the disabled vet do his weekly yard work and felt inspired to give him a hand.
#5 Someone's Been Watching Him
"I don't know who they are, but they have been watching my 100% combat disabled husband push mow our entire yard once or twice a week, and thought this would help make more time for the important things in life!!! THANK YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE!!! You don't know how much pain this is going to save him from!!!" Brittany continued on her Facebook posting.
#6 Secret Angel
"Well today the grass was finally long enough to cut, so this guy finally mounted his new beast and broke it in. It was his first time running a machine like this one so it took a few minutes to get the hang of things but all in all, it took him just 18 minutes to mow the front from start to finish!!! That even included a few minutes of testing its limits😜 when he was finished I asked him "How painful was that?!" He said he didn't hurt at all like before, even felt well enough to rake the grass off the yard. The smile on his face was my favorite. He never smiled during this chore before! I hope this Secret Angel knows how amazing they are and how grateful our family is for their generosity!!! I will forever pray that God shower you and your family with Blessings. Thank You, Whoever you are, from the bottom of our hearts!!!"
