They had been suffering their son and daughter's absence for many years, and they didn't know how to make that pain finally go away.

But three years after the accident, Cathi, a nurse, decided to go on a medical mission to Liberia as she thought that changing environments would be good for her. And it was in Liberia that she found who is now her adopted son, a newborn baby boy who had been abandoned because he was deaf and had a severe cleft lip and palate.
#4 A new life
Cathi decided to bring the baby to the States and named him Matthew. The couple has been living happily ever since and think it was Matthew who made them love again.
