Some people just can't stand beards. They are rugged, they can look messy at times and they can make guys appear to be much older than they really are. One thing that cannot be debated, however, is that beards make a huge difference. It's amazing what a little bit of hair can do. You can look like an entirely different person. Don't believe me? Take a look at some of these famous faces with and without their beards.

#1 Ben may get all the attention but Casey knows how to rock a beard too.

Casey Affleck totally rocked this beard during the Oscar season this year. The beard just adds a sense of ruggedness to him.

#2 David Beckham used to be fresh-faced.

Now he has grown into a man's man with the beard to prove it. The ladies must be so jealous of Victoria.

#3 Viggo Mortensen should never ever shave!

Aragorn should never be seen without a beard. It's just creepy. Kinda like he's a giant baby man with a head full of hair. When he has a beard he looks like the ultimate badass.
