Rage Against The Machine - "Killing In The Name"

Rage Against The Machine will go down as one of the most politically-charged bands of all time. They delivered this angry song filled with repetitive cries of "F**k you I won't do what you tell me!" So, naturally, it just had to be played on the radio.

D12 - "Purple Hills"

Talk about heavily censoring a song just so it could be played on the radio. The real song title is "Purple Pills", and it is about extremely heavy drug use. We have no idea why they chose this song to be a single.

The Black Eyed Peas - "Let's Get It Started"

This was one of the biggest hits that this group ever came out with. You might not have realized that it was heavily censored on the radio. The actual name of the song is "Let's Get Retarded". In a PC world, this definitely needed censoring.

David Banner - "Touching"

David Banner is by far one of the most over the top, crass rappers of our lifetime. It was a bit of a surprise when he came out with this sentimental song about touching your lover. However, the actual title of the song is "F**king". It makes you wonder why they even bothered.

Nine Inch Nails - "Closer"

This is probably the most infamous, dark, sensual song that has ever been recorded. Every goth had this at the top of their playlist for decades. The line that is repeated frequently through the song, "I want to f**k you like an animal" is the reason that it took a lot to get this song played on the air.

Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz - "Roll Call"

Where do we even start when it comes to this song? I guess with the title that was actually "Real Ni**a Roll Call". The censored word in the title is used very often throughout the entire song. The clean version sounds more like a cd skipping than a whole song.

Dr. Dre - "Xxplosive"

Kurupt's verse in this song is practically removed because of the use of numerous curse words. It was censored so much that it almost seemed stupid to even have him on the track at all.

N.W.A. - "Straight Outta Compton"

This was not only one of the most controversial songs ever made, it also came from one of the most controversial albums ever created. Apparently becoming an international smash hit takes getting on the radio, no matter how gangsta you're trying to keep things.

Eminem - "My Fault"

This song was all about abusing hallucinogenic drugs, mushrooms, but somehow got turned into a song about pizza. Talk about creative censorship.

Eamon - "F*** It"

I don't think we really need to tell you why this song got censored for radio play. The song's title really says it all. However, I am pretty sure most of us sang along to the radio using the censored wording. It just doesn't have the same effect without it.
