Easter Basket Cake

This might look a bit intimidating, but it really is much easier than you think. Simply bake two round cakes. Ice them between the cakes, over the top, and around the sides. Then you want ten packs of kit kat bars, break them off in single pieces or twos. Stand them up around your cake using the icing as a glue. Tie a big ribbon around the cake to hold them together. Then you can fill the top however you like. This one uses coconut that is made green using food coloring to make grass. Then, Cadbury mini eggs are used as the garnish.

Bird's Nest Cake

This one is easier than it looks as well. You want to make a three-layered cake. Put icing between the layers then cut out the center of the cake. Now, you want to ice the rest of the cake and the interior walls of the hole. You can either make the little branches using icing and a small tip or you can cover pretzel sticks with melted chocolate and place them all over the cake. Then, you just fill the hole with chocolate eggs or Robin's eggs.

Peeps Cake

This is basically the same as doing the Kit Kat cake but without the bow. It does appear that this cake in the photo uses icing to make the grass, but you can just ice your cake with green icing and add colored coconut flakes to make the grass. Then, you garnish the top however you like. Have fun and be creative.

Baby Chicks Cupcakes

This is a tasty treat that the kids will love. Make your yellow cupcakes as usual. Ice them with white icing. Then, use food coloring and coconut flakes to make the heads. Then, you can use chocolate chips or brown M&Ms for the eyes. Finally, you make the beak by using slices of orange slices, the ones that are coated in sugar. It really is that simple.

Rice Krispy Eggs

Everyone loves Rice Krispy treats, and these are super simple. All you have to do is make your Rice Krispy mix as usual. Instead of laying it out flat in a pan, you will roll them in your hands into the shape of eggs. You will want to do this while they are still warm, so they are easier to mold. Chill your eggs for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, melt some chocolate and get your sprinkles handy. Dip your chilled eggs into the melted chocolate then roll them in the sprinkles. You will want to chill your finished product for another 30 minutes and serve.

Pastel Popcorn Cups

These are probably the most simple out of all of our treats we are showing you today. You want to start off by popping your popcorn. Then you want to either melt white chocolate or you can melt pre-colored chocolates. If you use white chocolate, you will want to separate it and use food coloring to get your desired color. Then, you just toss your popcorn around in the chocolate, put the mixture into little paper cupcake wrappers and chill for 30 minutes.

Waffle Cone Treats

Anything that looks like or is shaped like a carrot is perfect for Easter. For this, you need icing piping bags, waffle cones, and sugary treats. Simply drop your waffle cones inside your piping bags. Then, you fill your cones with some treats and tie off the top with a pretty ribbon. Easy peasy!

Peeps Cars

This sweet and salty treat is fun to make, so get your kiddos ready to help you out. You will need Twinkies, Peeps, marshmallows, mini pretzels, pretzel sticks, pastel M&Ms, and melted chocolate or icing. Start with putting marshmallows on the ends of the pretzel sticks and stick them into your Twinkie to make the wheels. Stick your regular mini pretzel in the middle of the top of the Twinkie. Then, using your melted chocolate or icing, stick your Peep behind the wheel and the M&Ms on the wheels. Voila!

Carrot Covered Strawberries

If you are looking for a more sophisticated treat, you will love these. You can buy orange candy melts and dip your strawberries in that covering the strawberry up to the green top. Then, you just take some of the melted orange-colored chocolate in a spoon and drizzle it back and forth to make those lines. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Baby Bird's Nest

Here is another simple treat using Rice Krispy treats. All you have to do is mold your treats into little cups. You could press them inside of a muffin pan to make things easier. Then, you just fill them with Cadbury mini eggs. You could also vary this by coloring your nests with food coloring before forming your nests.
