This 36-Month-Long Joke On Tinder Is Going Viral For All The Right Reasons

IT’S always a gamble swiping right on somebody’s Tinder profile.
You eagerly wait for that reassuring ‘IT’S A MATCH’ notification to pop up. And when it doesn’t, you just tell yourself “they obviously weren’t my soulmate,” and go back to endless swiping.
But this wasn’t the case for 22-year-old Josh Avsec who matched with his potential soulmate Michelle Arendas back in 2014.
Now, you would think after three years the young teens would have either met up, become friends, fallen in love or at least had riveting Tinder banter. But none of that has happened.
The pair has shared only eleven messages since Josh’s polite greeting in September 2014, in which it took Michelle two months to reply to and it is hilarious.

A pair of Tinder matches have been involved in a ridiculously slow conversation for three years, and now they have the internet rooting for them to get together.
#3 Tinder user Josh Avsec took to Twitter this weekend to share screenshots of his conversation with a woman named Michelle Arendas.
While many Tinder users enjoy meeting within days or hours after they match, these two have been taking their time.
#4 This is the start of what would become a three-year long conversation between Josh and Michelle.
The teens would go months without responding to one another.
#5 Their exchange has been going on since 2014, but the pair always takes a ridiculously long time to get back to each other.
For that reason, Josh, 22, and Michelle, 21 - who are both from Ohio - only exchange between one and four messages a year. Their conversation revolves mainly around making excuses for not replying earlier, but some believe it could be the beginning of a romantic love story.
“Hahahaha one day I’m going to meet this girl and it’s going to be epic,” Josh recently shared on Twitter along with the two screenshots of their conversations.
#6 He initially matched with Michelle in September 2014 and sent her a message to say hi.
However, Michelle didn't respond until November, when she told Josh: 'Hey sorry my phone died!'
Josh, given that it had been two months since his first message, saw the humor in the situation and replied:
'Wow, you found that pretty fast. It usually takes me about five months to find my charger.'
