#1 A newborn baby is precious, innocent, and adorable. From their chubby cheeks to their tiny fingers and toes! Parents wish they could stay that small forever! But, alas, they grow up.
#2 But Camille Allen found a unique way to preserve the cherubic faces and bodies of newborn babies. Camille is an artist from British Columbia that makes miniature clay sculptures of newborns!

#5 Camille takes a blob of clay and, by hand, rolls and molds the clay into infants in a variety of positions.

#6 Her inspiration came from her grandmother-in-law who used to make life-sized dolls.

#9 Because the final product is so small, Camille has to use special glasses and a bright spotlight to create such a life-like (tiny) replica of a baby.

#10 Working carefully is important too – it is painstaking and very detailed work.

#11 Camille says one small flaw could ruin many hours of work.

#12 She says that to work on her sculptures, she has to be in a patient and calm frame of mind.

#14 Some customers order in advance!
#15 It isn’t easy for Camille to part with her creations, but she knows she can’t keep them all!
Camille has the ability to create something very realistic from nothing! Amazing! Share away, people!
