This Baby Rhino Was Found Crying Uncontrollably Next To His Dead Mommy. This Crushed Me.

#1 Here is the baby rhino right after it was placed under sedation. The baby was crying uncontrollably. He just lost his mother and was completely heart broken.

#3 The staff of the animal rescue center placed the little guy in their vehicle and drove him back to their animal sanctuary.

#4 The next morning the baby rhino was in better spirits. They stayed with him through the night to comfort his little heart.

#5 He found comfort with this human after losing his mother at 3 months old.

#6 Without a mother, this baby rhino was sure to die. These care takers were NOT going to let that happen.

#7 This baby rhino seemed to love to cuddle his human caretakers. They were lucky to find him some fat free milk. He is fed every 3 hours to keep up with his soon-to-be massive size.

#8 The workers at the HESC hope to rehabilitate this baby back into the wild in due time of course.

#9 After arriving at the center, the baby orphan was examined for any injuries. After receiving the o.k. from the doctors he was placed with a surrogate mother. He found the most comfort in his human caretaker though.

#10 They named the baby Gertji and try to give him as much love as possible while his little heart heals.

I can't believe people actually commit crimes against these beautiful animals. They are so amazing and vital to our being. We need to respect and cherish these innocent animals. Thankfully there are organizations out there like the HESC who devote their hearts to saving endangered animals.
