This Couple Chained Together For 3 Months To Prove Their Love

We’ve all heard of the ol’ ball and chain but this is taking it too far. A Ukrainian couple which seems a little too committed to each other decided to chain themselves together on Valentine’s day for 3 months.

The reason? Testing the strength of their relationship.

Alexander and Viktoria didn’t take the easy way out either. A supervisor from Ukraine’s National Register of Records was there to officiate the ceremony and made sure that they were mentally sane (doubtful) before they started with this experiment.

The supervisor said rather poetically, “The palms of the couple in love are just a couple of centimetres apart.”

Alexander, who is now chained stated that they were going for a world record, with all links In the chain welded together and sealed the national register.

Their first test wasn’t too far behind as they needed to make a 325-mile trip back home in a taxi.

On the road trip, they decided to use the women’s toilet together and have specially formulated clothing which has zips from top to bottom.

According to Zorin from National Records, if they choose to separate before the three months are over, they will need emergency services to cut the chain.
