More specifically, the couple chose to hold their nuptials at the Cat House on the Kings, a no-kill, no-cage feline shelter in Parlier, California.
Apparently, the ceremony, which was held in front of roughly 1,100 cats, was a no-brainer for the cat-loving couple. "We are both animal lovers, and it shows she's a great person, and that's why I wanted to marry her," Husson told NBC News.

Dominic and Louise are the first couple to be wed at the Cat House, but I'm sure they will not be the last.
Lynea Lattanzio, the shelter's founder, says that the cats were very keen on interacting with the bride and groom. "They are so used to people coming through that they just enjoy the attention that they get. So they will meet you at the gate and follow you all over the property."
While there were a few hiccups such as cats playing with the train of the wedding dress, or refusing to pose for photos the whole ceremony seems to have gone off without a hitch.
The verdict is in: cats are officially better (and cuter) wedding guests than humans.

"I feel in love," Veronneau told KFSN News. "I feel in love with the work Lynea and her team is doing for the cats and the rescuing." The married couple have been together for three years, and count a love of animals among their shared passions and values. They were the first couple to be married there. Instead of gifts, Veronneau and Husson requested donations be made to the sanctuary.

How Véronneau's and Husson's mutual love of cats brought them together:

They have traveled around the world together and learned they both have a passion for animals, especially cats.
"I saw that we were sharing the same values," Veronneau said. "These are values these are the basics of our relationship and out love for animals and beings."
"We are both animal lovers and it was easy," Husson exclaimed. "She is a great person, that is why I married her."
