Canadian father has taken the internet by storm after his wife posted about how the dad takes his daughter on monthly dates.

Caitlin Fladager, a mum from Vancouver, posted on Facebook about the dates and how proud she was.

'My husband decided once a month he will take our little girl out on a "date" where she gets all dressed up and gets taken out for cake and ice cream,' she explained.

The mum to daughter Arianna said that her husband, Noah's, actions and made her little girl feel like a 'princess'.

'Tonight was there first night doing it. He helped her pick out a dress for her to wear, got a little purse ready for her, held the door open for her, and made her feel like a princess,' Ms Fladager explained.

She accompanied the post with photos of the night, from the dad helping Arianna pick out her clothes, to her eating cheesecake on their date.

The chuffed mum shared the post on Facebook with some photos of her husband and their daughter getting ready for the night out. She also screenshot a text from her husband, which read: "she's a princess and deserves to be treated like one".

The mum revealed that the daughter enjoyed the night out.

'She loved it was so happy when she got home. She will always know how she deserves to be treated because her dad sets such a high example,' Ms Fladager said.

More than 79,000 people have reacted to the Facebook post, with many commenting saying the date was sweet.
