This Device Is Used To Give A Baby An X-Ray, And It's Totally Bizarre

A bizarre image took the Internet by storm last week, attracting more than its share of confused and distressed responses for what seemed like a crazy child torture contraption. Eventually, more sound minds discovered that the device in question is actually used to hold babies still during an X-ray. Though it looks weird and horrifying, it makes total sense.
Even though we know now what this weird device does, that doesn't make it any less strange. Just see for yourself.
