#1 Fast food joints are thriving in the US in particular and the business they get are off the roof. It all started when a homeless man entered a Subway joint in the hopes for getting a big discount on a sandwich. And it goes on..

Savannah says :

"I used to work at Subway a couple of months ago but i quit. And what made me quit was that one time a homeless man came in to get a sandwich. He asked if the sandwich would be more than 10$. One of my co-workers said no and he carried on. When he got to the register he was searching his pockets frantically for the money and with a shameful face he said he couldn't find it and started to leave. But I called out to him and said that I would pay.

I got out my credit card and paid for an entire meal for this man with no discounts. Completely in full. He thanked me over and over. Then when the next customer behind him got to the register, she told me that I had done a nice thing.

Now when everyone left, I was in the back cleaning when my manager comes and yells at me, telling me that if someone can't pay for their food you tell them to leave.

I told her that I wasn't going to let him starve as it was 115 degrees outside. He was probably exhausted, dehydrated and very hungry. I was honestly just so baffled at the fact that I just got in trouble for helping someone in need. I was constantly told by supervisors and owners that this is a business about making people happy. But I guess the homeless aren't people. "

#3 Moral behind her actions

When in business, yes your first priority is making money and thriving in the business as well as making as many people happy. Even though that homeless man could have been faking it, it still doesn't give that manager the right to shout at someone for helping the less fortunate. Specially since the entire amount was paid for. People are people. Just because they can't afford a sandwich doesn't mean to treat them will less respect. It reflects back on the business itself.

Good going @Savannah!
