Police found a huge black holdall bag holding 30 one-kilogram blocks of cocaine

Despite possessing a magnet-controlled hidden pocket under his seat, a drug dealer was imprisoned after being caught with £ 3 million worth of cocaine in the boot of his smart car.

Sam Migliorini, 32, was driving a smart grey car when, as a result of a preventive procedure, he was pulled over by police near junctions 24 and 25 on the M25.

Police found a huge black holdall bag holding 30 one-kilogram blocks of cocaine named 'C.E.N.G - Cartel Ecuador Nueva Generacion' after being driven to a local parking lot, one of the most active drug cartels in Mexico.

Migliorini was detained and transported to a police station in East London on charges of possession of a class A drug(Cocaine) to sell it

Migliorini was detained and transported to a police station in East London on charges of possession of a class A drug (cocaine) to sell it. The smart car was then transferred to a safe place where it could be searched properly. A sophisticated hide, which ran the width of the car beneath the front passenger seat and driver's seat was found.

Two sets of keys and an encrypted cell phone were also discovered in Migliorini's hands

But the hidden compartment was empty, powered by a magnet mounted on the centre console under the gearstick that raised the front passenger seat.

When he was detained on 1 October, two sets of keys and an encrypted cell phone were also discovered in Migliorini's hands. One of them was a Mercedes car key and the other alleged police was a stable key.

A safe holding about £ 15,000 in cash was also found in the car

As police carried out a search warrant at the home address of Migliorini in Barking, east London, a grey Mercedes was spotted leaving the house. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Shaw Lane, not far from the building.

The Mercedes key that was located on Migliorini unlocked the vehicle predictably, enabling officers to search. When police were able to unlock it using the other card, a safe holding about £ 15,000 in cash was found.

On 23 December, he was sentenced to eight years and three month

For theft of criminal assets, Migliorini was further detained. He did not respond to any responses on all the questions during his police interrogation, until being charged on Friday, 2 October.

Since pleaded guilty to possession of a class A drug (cocaine) to sell it at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 23 December, he was sentenced to eight years and three months.

Detective Sergeant Gemma Brown said: "This was a significant seizure of Class A drugs and this a great example of how officers are tirelessly working to disrupt the supply of drugs.

"The people who are involved in the supply of drugs clearly have very little regard for the chaos of violence that comes with it.

"Seizures such as this stop drugs reaching the streets of London, where they have the potential to cause great harm to people and communities.

"Criminals who think they can use things such as hides and encrypted devices to evade capture are wrong - you will be caught and brought to justice."
