Being sick is never fun, especially after winter arrives and everything is miserable. Many of us (myself included) love to complain about being sick. But the next time you're complaining about a little sniffle, just remember the story of Huynh Van Dat.
For the last 11 years, Van Dat -- a Vietnamese man living in Saigon -- has been quietly suffering from a devastating virus, and it's eating him alive.

That's when Van Dat realized that he had a hole in the roof of his mouth. After seeing a doctor, they told him that he had a nose bridge failure. There was a way to treat the disease, but Van Dat couldn't afford it. He tried to treat the condition with various herbs, but it quickly spread to his eyes.
Strangely enough, there was no bleeding as the virus spread. But while he was still able to talk, he told his wife that he was in immense pain
