This Man Re-Proposes To His Wife After Cancer Recovery And Showed The Meaning Of True Love

Christin Koch, a 18-year-old from Iowa, as of late shared a stunning post on Twitter about her mother Lora Koch and father Jim Koch, and everybody is actually in tears over the photographs. The Kochs have been married more than 26 years, but Jim wanted to make sure Lora knew how much he loved her as she was recuperating from breast cancer surgery. On February 21, Lora had surgery and has since been recovering from home.

Christin explained,"My mom's old wedding ring had just been too small for some time so she knew she would get another one sooner or later, yet she didn't know when."

After her mom had surgery, she went with her dad to pick up her new ring. She said,"It was so beautiful and even more special because it includes the diamonds from her original wedding ring."

Jim, who always tries to keep his wife laughing and happy, proposed to Lora for the second time to demonstrate he would dependably remain adjacent to her for better or for worse, in sickness and in health.

Christin said,"My mom was so happy and she started crying every time she looked at it [the ring], it was adorable". Christin Koch captured the emotional moment on her camera and posted the photographs on Twitter, where many individuals have since shared the photos.

Lora says she was so happy when her husband got down on one knee. She said,"I was so happy and relieved, it was a reassurance that while cancer is going to change my life a lot, I realize that one thing will dependably remain the same, his love for me is forever and our shared faith will last."

Christin reveals to People,"It’s touching to see that after 26 years. Dad is still showing mom that he loves her so much."

Lora says she got a normal mammogram in January and that is when specialists found a tumor. On February 11, she got the call that it was indeed breast cancer —yet specialists guaranteed her they got it early and her anticipation looked good. The couple’s oldest daughter, Anna, 22, was unable to be there for ceremony but Lora says support from both of her children has helped her get through her surgeries and recovery process.

Lora says,"To have something so beautiful happen to me, well it was truly amazing, I had a good cry of release and love and it was a pretty special day for me. I’m reminded me of the great love we have."

Both Christin and her sister have been overwhelmed by responses to the tweet about their parents’ relationship: “As my sister said, ‘If I ever have a love that's half as wonderful as theirs, I'm set.’”
