Damian Aspinall is an African jungle conservationist, and he helped raise a lowland gorilla named Kwibi at the Howletts Wild Animal Park in England. When Kwibi was five years old, Damian released him into the forests of Gabon, West Africa. Everyone thought that Kwibi would forget about his life in England, but this video proves otherwise.
Five years after Kwibi’s release, Damian decided that he wanted to visit his old friend and see how he was doing. However, the reunion came at a great risk. Kwibi was now 10-years-old and much stronger than when Damian had first known the gorilla. If Kwibi didn’t recognize Damian, there was a good possibility that now-wild animal would attack. Damian decided that a visit with Kwibi was worth the risk.
