3 time mother Asia Ford, from Louisville, USA, set herself a goal in March last year: she wanted to run the 10km long 'Rodes City Run'. Three years ago, the American mom weighed almost 530 pounds and with an icy determination she has lost over 220 lbs. But after running half of the track she suddenly had severe problems breathing. The policeman Aubrey Gregory, who was overseeing the race, rushed to see if she was okay - and Asia instantly clutched his hand. "I said: good, then we can do this together!", remembered the police officer.

Said and done: flanked on the right by her son, and left by Aubrey Gregory, Asia ran the last kilometers to the finish as a trio - she'd made it! "Seeing her cross the finish line, really moved me. It was a fantastic moment and I'm pleased that I could be part of it", said Officer Gregory.

And Asia has nothing but kind words for him: "I can only say thanks, you're an angel. I wanted to give up and you wouldn't allow it. You're my inspiration!"

Two weeks ago, just one year after her last emotional run, Asia Ford was back the the starting line for the 'Rodes City Run'. And she had lost even more weight - this time she managed the 10km run without stopping and without help. Fantastic achievement!
