Tony Futura is a surrealist digital artist who's in the business of "creating simple images with a twist." Based out of Berlin, he uses his talent with tech to craft original content that highlights the absurdity of many aspects of modern culture – mainly materialism, consumerism, and our unending obsession with pop culture. While all of his images are captioned, much is left to our own interpretations. How you feel about these images will differ from how I feel.
Nevertheless, we will both be prompted to think about the state of society and our own lifestyles. And that's what great art does: It makes us think.
If you love these images as much as I do, give Tony Futura a follow on Instagram.
"i wish i had this"
People use to chase dreams. Now they chase brands. These brands mark us with a perceived sense of value. One is never enough.
"real love"
The one and only.
"iBored"
We have the entire world at our fingertips and have no idea what to do with it.
"Life is like tetris, if you fit in, you dissapear. 😱"
Accurate.
"opposites attract"
They compliment each other in such a way as to lift the entire couple high into the sky with promise. Prickly, prickly promise.
"when you're angry"
We can only contain ourselves for so long.
"music makes me happy"
...they say as they walk around like zombies with headphones on all day long.
"thirst 💧"
Never quite quenched, now is it?
"selfie vs tagged photo ðŸ”😖"
Those tagged photos keep people up at night. Think about that.
"never forget where you come from 🌱â›"
Respecting your roots in something in short supply these days.
"coffee addict 💉☕ï¸"
I'll take seven.
"silent mode"
All day, every day. No, we're not busy, we're anxiously avoiding the noises this thing makes. Unless it's a text notification.
