#1 Northside, Los Angeles

If you think this house isn't worth but a few hundred bucks then you're dead wrong. Looks can be deceiving.

#2 The Property

This ugly home was listed for $475,000 CASH ONLY in Northside, Los Angeles. The listing states: ‘This is truly the worst home in the best neighborhood' and that it was built in 1956, and has 1,256 sq.feet, features exposed pipes, brown stains and moldy walls. But they are calling it a "Flippers Fantasy"! Let's take a look inside.

#3 The Kitchen

At one time a cook's dream, now only a nightmare. A lot of TLC would need to go into this kitchen before you could cook anything. Nothing says home sweet home like a filthy cooking area!

#4 Some Furnishing And Appliances Included

They may be included, but only because the seller doesn't want to pay to haul them away. The appliances would definitely need to be replaced, as you can see from this old and stained oven and lovely toilet.

#5 Exposed Pipes

The kitchen is in disrepair, with brown stains running down one side of the counter. While exposed pipes may add a trendy industrial look to some properties, this home built in 1956, looks like a film set for a grisly horror film. But just think of the parties you could host in this offset dining area.

#6 Hideaway Spa

My mother always told me that you can judge a person based on how clean their bathroom is. You better believe I'm judging hard right now. But at least you can refresh in this spa-like bathtub which is boxed off and secluded in its own little room. Truly the gem of the house. This is one of two bathrooms in the house, which also boasts three bedrooms and a two stall garage. No pictures of the disrepair on the garage were available.

#7 The Living Room

It may look frightening after many years of abuse and neglect, but if you had the CASH to hand over you could have lived in a prestigious LA community. This living area is laid out extremely well for a house built in 1956. It has been vacant for over a decade, and the property was in ruins before the bank foreclosed, leaving the basic structure and the land to any lucky buyer. There are a fireplace and rooftop windows in the living room, which are broken, but could be a great source of lighting.

#8 Big Fenced Yard

This home needs a complete rehab. The pictures say everything except for the fact that this home is located at the back of a cul de sac in a wonderful well-maintained neighborhood.

The 0.18-acre lot also includes this barren and uninviting yard. Northridge, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, has an average household income of $77,366, with the median home sale price at $345,500. The average family consists of whites, aged 15-47, and there are five nearby schools.

#9 Going Once, Going Twice

‘This is truly the worst home in the best neighborhood.' says Coldwell Banker sales associate Joe Johansen. 'This area was once home to many famous people including Barbara Stanwyck.'

By emphasizing the home's location and calling it a "flipper's fantasy," and "contractor's special," the home did manage to sell for $375,000. Even though that was $100,000 less than what was being asked, I'm surprised it sold at all.
