In the video, she explains why she has chosen to replace traditional toilet paper with reusable "family cloth."

A mother from Colorado, Channon, believes that regular toilet paper is unhygienic and unpleasant to use, claiming that it can easily become crumbly and get stuck. She has found washcloths are a more practical and sustainable alternative for her family's bathroom needs.

In the two-minute video, Channon can be seen gagging after discussing why she decided to switch to reusable cloth. Despite the initial discomfort, Channon's family has fully embraced the change and found it a more efficient and cost-effective alternative.

Instead of relying solely on toilet paper, Channon's family uses a bidet to wash and then dries off with the reusable fabric, as she believes that "water and cloth just cleans you way better."

As an advocate for sustainability, Channon even creates her own cloth by cutting washcloths and serging the edges to reduce waste and minimize her family's environmental footprint.

In addition to using reusable cloth for bathroom purposes, Channon has replaced Kleenex tissues with reusable fabric for blowing her nose as another step in her efforts to reduce waste and live a more sustainable lifestyle.

This choice reduces the amount of paper waste her family generates and saves money in the long run by eliminating the need to purchase disposable tissues.

When Channon runs out of reusable cloth, she tosses them in the washer and the rest of her family's clothes, eliminating the need for additional laundry loads. This saves time and energy and ensures that the fabric is thoroughly cleaned and ready for reuse.

In the same video, Channon shared her other sustainable bathroom swaps, including toothpaste cubes and reusable menstrual cycle pads. These choices minimize her family's waste and support her commitment to making environmentally conscious choices.

“I don’t use menstrual cups because I have endometriosis and it causes too much pain. I switched to reusable menstrual cloth pads,” she states. Since then, “I noticed way less cramping,” and “it saves me so much money.”
