"Hello! My name is Marcos. Every month I take $100 (£80) that I'd normally spend on myself and give it away to a stranger. This month I decided to change it up and put it in a Redbox DVD. You are the first giveaway of 2017. I just ask that you put the money to good use; if you don't need it, give it away. If you do need it, keep it."

Her daughter Liz could not help but share the good deed on social media. She thanked the mysterious giver as well: "My mom was just hoping to relax and enjoy a movie, but instead God blessed her with more."

The charming story has since gone viral, with Liz's tweet receiving more than 91,000 likes and 29,000 retweets. One Twitter user wrote, “that’s so amazing. I swear goodness still exists in humankind. Bless his soul.”

The tweet reportedly caught the attention of the kind stranger's niece, who alerted her uncle Marcos Campos. He then took to Twitter, writing: "The internet is a small world! My niece saw your tweet in her feed and sent it to me. Glad I made your mom's day!"

The woman hadn’t said what she planned to do with the money, but hopefully she and many others took a note from Marcos and helped a stranger who might’ve been having a hard time. A random act of kindness can go a long way!
