21-year-old Olivia Skuce of Northern Ireland thought she was getting a regular mesh crop top but instead, when she received her order from PrettyLittleThing, A UK-based online store, she realized there was a major design flaw when she went to put it on.
This Woman Has Gone Viral After Buying A Hilariously Flawed Crop Top And It's Happened To More Than Just Her.
#1 Naturally, Olivia contacted PrettyLittleThing customer service by way of a tweet hoping that they could fix the issue.
"Hi @OfficialPLT just wondering why your top won't fit over my head," is what she said.
#2 Maybe she has a big head?
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, she said: "I thought I either ordered something from the kids section or I have an overly large head." Luckily, Olivia, you have a normal sized head, it's the shirt that's too small.
#3 After her tweet started going viral another lady shared her similar experience with the same crop top.
#4 And then yet another tweeted the same
#5 It turns out that pretty much nobody can fit their head into this shirt.
#6 Tweet after tweet women just keep coming out of the woodworks.
#7 Some have called for PrettyLittleThings to get their act together.
#8 Others are just having fun with it.
#9 So many ladies have been ensnared by this crop top!
#10 In a way it's kind of brought women together.
#11 It's not just happening in the UK. It's a global phenomenon now.
#12 Could this just be another reason for women to say fashion designers set unrealistic body expectations?
#13 Probably not, but it's damn funny.
#14 PLT finally responded.
Olivia said that PLT customer service reps messaged her directly on Twitter offering to give her a full refund for the disproportionate crop to and 25% discount towards any purchase. PLT also removed the offending article of clothing from their website and issued a public apology.
#15 They are really, really sorry.
No really, they are very sorry for this happening and have reached out to as many women as they can to issue refunds and sort out the situation.
If you ask me, they have nothing to be sorry about. They gave everyone a much-needed dose of laughter. That's a win in my book.
