For years Lexxie Harford covered her large facial birthmark with heavy makeup to fit in - because she felt no one would accept her if she didn't hide it!

But soon after graduating college, she felt the need to be her true self and stop covering her mark. "If [people with birthmarks] accepted themselves, they really wouldn't go on a show like that. I would try and get that person to see themselves differently," she said.

"I always wanted to show a birthmark with an open line of communication, where people could ask lots of questions," she said. "I understand why people are upset or offended or want to cover it up."

#4 Embracing The Flaw

"I'm really comfortable and I don't get offended easily," said Lexxie, saying that she welcomes questions and curiosity.

#5 I Love Myself

"I know some people have laser surgery and I don't think that's wrong at all," said Lexxie. Girls around the world should take note, confidence is NOT what anyone else thinks or feels about you...it's embracing your whole self and loving it unconditionally!
