Who doesn't like a good riddle? Sometimes it's the simplest thing that gets your mind all twisted up and unable to figure out the answer, and that's the best part. Then, after what seems like hours of brain torture, something clicks. There's a 5-letter word in the English language...
...That somehow becomes shorter when you add 2 letters to it! What is the word?
Now this one just seems impossible.

It’s common sense, if you add one letter to a word, it’s going to get longer. If you add TWO letters to a word, it’s going to get EVEN LONGER. So how can you somehow add 2 letters to a word to make it shorter?
Well.... (Are you ready for this one?!)
What if the word you started off with was “SHORT”?
If you add an “ER” to “SHORT” then you’ve made the word “SHORTER”!
