The TikTok creator with more followers than anyone else on the platform has made a major career move that could set him up financially for the rest of his life.

Once dismissed as a simple app for short and silly videos, TikTok quickly turned into a launchpad for people with real talent, whether that came through comedy, education, or clever storytelling.

That rise brought fame, serious money, and sponsorship deals that turned everyday users into global celebrities almost overnight.

From TikTok alone, stars like Charli D’Amelio, Bella Poarch, and Addison Rae became household names.

Many of them went on to land movie roles, release music, and build careers that stretched far beyond social media.

But the most-followed TikToker of all has taken things to another level financially.

Khaby Lame is a 25-year-old Senegalese comedian with more than 160.4 million followers, best known for his silent reaction videos that poke fun at overcomplicated life hacks.

Even though he only created his account in April 2021, the former factory worker from Italy became a global meme thanks to his facial expressions and simple gestures.

Since then, his reach and influence have continued to grow far beyond viral clips.

He has now secured a major business deal worth an estimated $975,000,000, tied closely to the tech world.

Rich Sparkle Holdings has acquired Step Distinctive Limited, a company connected to Lame, in a move that could significantly increase his long-term wealth.

According to VT, the agreement includes plans to create an AI-powered version of Lame that will use Face ID, Voice ID, and behavior models to produce multilingual content and virtual livestreams, expanding his brand on a global scale.

As part of the acquisition, Lame will become a shareholder in the new partnership, giving him a say in how the project develops.

The idea of an “AI Digital Twin” means his fans could interact with a version of him at any time, without him needing to be online himself.

It is a fitting next step for someone who built an entire career without saying a single word on camera.

That said, his fame has not come without complications.

Last year, he was briefly detained in the United States for violating immigration rules while attempting to leave the country on June 6.

Lame had entered the US on April 30 to attend the Met Gala on May 5 as part of his collaboration with Hugo Boss.

In a statement to AFP, ICE confirmed: "US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations."

The agency said he had overstayed the terms of his visa but was released the same day and has since left the United States.
