Tinder CEO Discusses Finding The 'Perfect Match.'
The internet dating world is a ruthless and capricious mistress.
Trying to figure out if you've matched with 'the perfect one' by looking at a few images of them is a difficult challenge.
If you're having trouble finding your soul mate, there's help available.
Tinder's CEO recently shared her best dating advice for those looking for that perfect one.
Renate Nyborg, speaking to Reuters regarding the app and its new capabilities, said it's actually rather straightforward.
She told the agency: "If there was one tip I could give to anyone listening today, if you want to find a great match on Tinder, investing a bit of time in completing your profile, adding a video, things like this, this will really help you stand out and give people a sense of who you truly are."
People have a tendency to overthink their dating strategies. It's a minefield out there.
And, as one lady discovered when she sent an ill-advised voice note to her prospective partner, it may go tragically wrong.
Alex, a Tinder match, recorded a message to Vanessa, the woman in question, merely to introduce himself.
However, Vanessa's reply was to provide a video of her and her friends totally p***ing themselves with laughter.
Isn't it going to do wonders for Alex's self-esteem?
Alex may be heard stating in a video posted by Vanessa's friend Paolo: "Hi Vanessa, this is Alex, nice to hear your voice before, whereabouts are you staying in Vancouver?"
Vanessa had intended to send a conventional response but had instead sent the video of her and her friends giggling to themselves, according to Paolo.
"She wanted to respond and accidentally sent the video,” said Paolo.
Those who weren't a part of it but saw the video on TikTok were naturally entertained by the situation.
One person commented: “That is the correct response."
Another said: “HAAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA THAT WAS A VALID RESPONSE.”
And, demonstrating how tiny the dating scene in Vancouver must be, it appears that others have had the pleasure of meeting Alex as well.
"I MATCHED WITH THE SAME GUY THAT SENT THE SAME MESSAGE!!!" revealed one.
