Since inception, the dating service has received some bad publicity such as being called a 'hook up app that is ruining dating', but data shows it may be moving away from the casual dating scene, with their new profile settings.

In November, Tinder introduced the job section to profiles, as well as where users went to school. To compile the most right-swiped jobs, Tinder says it looked at user data from the last three months in the U.S. By allowing users to include their job in profiles, Tinder has gathered more insight for potential matches.

The women on Tinder also believed they would find Mister Right in the form of a doctor. The profession ranks in at number four on the most desirable list, though it's hard to imagine many doctors are using the app.

Number five is also part of the same theme as fireman, pilot, and doctor. Women decided that a paramedic was the fifth most desirable occupation for a man they would swipe right for. Again with the masculine, yet caring profession.

Tinder was born at the University of Arizona in 2012 and continues to remain a popular go-to spot for college singles, as college student was ranked 10th for men and sixth for women.

#7 Professions That Men Like Most

The men seemed to go for a slightly different type of profession in their females, though some of the same jobs, like teacher, are on both lists. Perhaps unsurprisingly, those who list their job as "Model" are also high up on the list for both genders, though 'Social Media Managers' were, for some reason, considered to be more attractive than models.

#8 Physical Therapists Get More Right Swipes Than Any Other Occupation

For some reason unknown, men seem attracted to females who are physical therapists. So much so, that the occupation outranked every other by comparison.

Right behind the physical therapists rank Interior Designer, Founder/Entrepreneur, then PR/Communications professionals. These seem like odd picks for men, but the men surveyed said the found something 'sexy' about those women who were confident, artistic, and self sufficient.

The good old teaching profession made the top at number five. This also appealed to the women who ranked the teaching occupation at #7. The men sighted they like women who are intelligent. Right below teaching is;

#10 Nurses Made The Cut For Right Swipes But Just Barely

The selfless job of being a nurse ranked at number 12, as compared to the paramedic/doctor on the women's list, which ranked much higher. When asked, the male users said they found nurses to be too mature for them. Really?
