Reddit users and political critics have been reacting after the former President shared a strange AI-generated video following the No Kings protests across the country.
Donald Trump has sparked outrage after sharing an AI-generated video of himself on social media, seemingly mocking protestors who took part in the nationwide No Kings marches.
Early on Sunday morning (October 19), the former President posted the clip to his Truth Social account, apparently responding to mass demonstrations held across the United States against what critics have called his “authoritarian leadership style.”
The protests featured thousands of demonstrators holding signs reading slogans such as “Democracy not Monarchy” and “The Constitution is not optional,” as reported by the BBC, calling out what they see as Trump’s attempts to act like a king rather than an elected leader.
The No Kings rallies were organized in 2,500 cities across all 50 states, including major gatherings in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. Millions participated in the coordinated events.
The AI video Trump posted was set to Kenny Loggins’ classic 1986 hit “Danger Zone” from the movie Top Gun. It showed an animated version of Trump piloting a plane labeled “King Trump.”
In the clip, Trump—wearing a crown—flies over a digital recreation of New York City, releasing what appears to be buckets of poop onto groups of protestors below, a move that many viewers called deeply offensive and disturbing.

The shocking footage quickly spread online after being reshared by a popular X (formerly Twitter) account. It didn’t take long for it to reach Reddit, where users were stunned and disgusted by the clip.
"Imagine just one second that any other president ever did something like this…," one Reddit user wrote.
Another added: "Can't believe that's a president of a country," while a third remarked: "Republicans - y'all must be so proud."
A fourth viewer chimed in with disbelief, writing: "Every time he does anything, I truly question whether this is real life. He's supposed to not only be a president but he's a f***ing grown man."
According to Variety, Trump also posted several other AI videos that same day, including one in which he places a crown on his own head while Avenged Sevenfold’s song “Hail to the King” plays in the background.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republican lawmakers have criticized the No Kings demonstrations, referring to them as “Hate America” " rallies, with the former claiming House Democrats were 'selling T-shirts for the event'."
"It's being told to us that they won't be able to reopen the government until after that rally because they can't face their rabid base," Johnson claimed, linking the protests to the ongoing government shutdown.
The No Kings coalition responded with a statement published by Politico, accusing Johnson of using the demonstrations as an excuse to avoid reopening the government and addressing key issues.
"Instead of reopening the government, preserving affordable healthcare, or lowering costs for working families, he's attacking millions of Americans who are peacefully coming together to say that America belongs to its people, not to kings," the group’s statement read, pushing back on Republican criticism.

In a separate interview with Fox News, Trump addressed the No Kings protests, which also drew large crowds in cities like Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
"A king! This is not an act," Trump said in the preview clip of the interview. "You know – they're referring to me as a king. I'm not a king."
Officials later reported that around 100,000 people took part in demonstrations across New York City’s five boroughs. Police confirmed that no arrests were made during the peaceful rallies.
Prominent Democratic leaders including Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Chuck Schumer, Raphael Warnock, and Adam Schiff attended the nationwide events, as reported by The Guardian.
Their presence was seen as a show of solidarity with protestors calling for stronger democratic accountability and limits on presidential power.
