You may not have heard of the presidential "challenge coin."

Presidents have had these coins made in order to hand out as mementos to people they meet, particular members of the military.

In the past, these coins have generally been inscribed with the motto 'E Pluribus Unum' or "out of many ones."

But this year the challenge coin got a makeover...

The new presidential hardware screams Trump.

The coin is shiny and gold — a change from the drab, brass-colored look of coins issued by his predecessors.

Gone is the national motto, E pluribus unum, meaning "out of many, one."

In its place appears the president’s campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again," which the administration has also used on official White House documents.

Trump's name also appears three times on it.

Other changes to the coin include removing the 13 arrows representing the original 13 colonies and making it much thicker than its predecessors.

One White House aide told The Post the coin was "very gold," adding that Trump "wanted to weigh in on" its design.

Twitter was pretty much on board with that assessment...

"It hurts me as an American that he removed E Pluribus Unum from the coin."

"That's disrespectful AF... To trailer parks"

"Mr. 'I alone can fix it' removes “Out of many, one” from the coin. Pretty well sums up the Trump presidency."
