Following their discovery of the true nature of a shark feeding frenzy, many are making a firm commitment to never enter the ocean again.

The ocean can be a magnificent and lovely place, but it can also be a source of absolute terror.

In fact, you might want to skip seeing this video if you were going to be swimming anytime soon.

Thanks to a video from Venice, Louisiana, that has been making the rounds on social media once more, people are feeling the need to stay grounded.

Imagine the fear if you fell overboard at this moment Storyful

While looking for yellowfin tuna, fisherman Dillon May captured the chaotic event on camera.

The sharks were moving in such a frenzy, according to May, that water was continuously getting onto the boat while he and his girlfriend were on board.

When they first noticed the absurd number of sharks there, he stated they were about 15 miles off the shore of Venice.

“We saw it was sharks on a bait pod, never seen anything like it,” he said.

“By the time we got there, the sharks had found the pod and pushed them up against the boat to feast on them."

The video depicts gray fins thrashing and flopping as the frenzied sharks feed around the boat.

It’s almost like a scene from a horror film, minus the blood.

“Wow! How amazing, yet I am watching this from the comfort of my home, shark free! lol. I wouldn't want to be on that boat, that's for sure! I wonder what was in the water to attract all those sharks? Yikes,” wrote one person.

“They can have the ocean. I'm done with it,” another said.

“Might be the the biggest reason I’m more of a mountain person. Love the beach, but..sharks.. no no..no..” added another.

“Whoa, that sounds like something out of a thriller! Glad everyone’s safe—what a wild experience for that fishing boat,” commented another user.

Speaking with WWLTV about the incident, Captain Josh Bodenheimer, another fisherman, expressed his frustration with the abundance of sharks in the waterways.

He said: ”It is something we’ve seen several times over the years."

“Often times it reduces the number of fish landed in day fleetwide for all the charter boats in our area."

“We have watched the shark population grow out of control over recent years."

“There needs to be a dramatic reduction in the number of sharks in federal waters. Some of these species of sharks are federally protected in these federal waters."
