#1 Squirrels generally start to get quite roly-poly in the winter months but this year they are fatter than ever.

Wildlife presenter Iolo Williams says the mild winter had left an "abundance of food for squirrels." And they have been eating instead of storing for the months when they normally would have little to no food available.

#2 There has been "no shortage of nuts, seeds, and fungi for them to eat and store,” he said.

He also said that because of their winter fur, they seem even fatter than they normally would, but all the extra food isn't doing them any justice either.

#11 All over the globe, people are noticing the fat furry critters running around, from Wales to Canada, and America.

Expert Iolo Williams says that the squirrels could get sick from over eating, because their body is set to eat tiny amounts 1/3 of the year, and they are not stopping. However, there is no cause for alarm, and they are fun to watch!
