NBC New York’s Natalie Pasquarella was delivering the news Tuesday night when she discovered it was time to deliver something more personal. Her water broke while she was about to comment during a segment on Twitter’s proposed new character limit, eliciting a giggle from the expecting anchor.

New York television anchor Natalie Pasquarella is used to news breaking while she's on the air.
Now she can add her most personal story yet to her list: going into labor.
Pasquarella let out a giggle while she and her NBC News 4 colleagues wrapped up a segment about Twitter testing out expanding its 140 character limit.
Unbeknownst to the audience, or even to the other journalists, Pasquarella's water had broken and she was into labor.
The only indication Pasquarella gave was a nervous laugh, which did not seem too out of place during the broadcast.
“That little giggle, that laugh, was the moment when Natalie’s water broke, live on this set, live on-air,” her co-anchor announced the following night. “Live on this set, live on this air. As a true professional, Natalie calmly finished the newscast and then she went to the hospital.” said her colleague.
"He could just not wait to get here and meet Natalie and her husband. He arrived a bit early, weighing five pounds and six ounces." Her colleague continued.
"So congratulations to Natalie, we think he is just perfect." Another anchor added "that’s the best news we’ve had on here for a long time", which is totally believable.
She carried on the broadcast like a trooper and alerted her colleagues as soon as it ended.
The show’s executive producer and others at 30 Rockefeller Plaza helped get her to a hospital where she met her husband.
She gave birth to Jamin James Pastore following 13 hours of labor.
They first announced the pregnancy via Twitter in April. The couple also has two dogs.
Pasquarella was a few weeks early as she posted on Instagram just four days ago that she had about a month to go.
She and her husband have been married for three years. Jamin James is their first child.
“A beautiful blessing decided to make his entrance early! Thankful for all of the well wishes. Our hearts are full!”
Pasquarella wrote in two photos she posted on Instagram.
Congratulations on the new addition!
