Gilbert is a Weimaraner whose owners neglected. They let a gigantic 12 pound tumor grow on his underbelly to the point where it got infected and he could barely stand or walk.
#2 Rescued
But Gilbert was lucky enough to end up in the hands of Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue (TPWR), which decided to take care of him and pretty much bring him back to life.

#3 Saving him
He was taken to the vet and given blood transfusions in order to stabilize him before removing the tumor. It is hard to believe that a huge mass like that could be removed from his body.
#4 What he looks like now
And this is what Gilbert looks like after a long recovery! It wouldn't have been possible without the help of Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue, the veterinarians and the generous people that participated in the fundraiser.
