One of the most taboo subjects when it comes to dating is that first fart. When is the right time to stop killing yourself by holding back what is something Mother Nature intended you to do naturally?

Thanks to the fact that there are a ton of dating websites and tv shows, all kinds of research is available for you to know what to do and not to do on a date. Did you know that one in four people will kiss on the first date, but the national average time that people wait before kissing is about a month?

Most people will also wait three months before having sex with someone they would like to have a relationship with. And, it is men who are more likely to have sex with a stranger over women. One in four men has confessed to having sex within the first week of knowing someone compared to the one in ten women would do the same.

Amazingly, it takes a whole seven months before it is acceptable to leave your toothbrush at your partner's house, but it only takes three months to say, "I love you." Believe it or not, it is the men who are more likely to say those words over women.

Enough about love and toothbrushes, let's get down to what you really want to know. When is it ok to fart in front of your partner? That all really depends on your age. If you are over the age of 24, then six months is as long as you have to wait to truly be comfortable enough to let it rip in front of your partner.

If you are under 24 years old, you can pass gas much sooner in front of your partner. The three-month mark would be your target timing.

If you are past the whole farting in front of each other stage and wonder about the timing for taking bigger steps, only a small percentage of couples move in together in the first six months of their relationship. Though, 13% of people take a huge leap of faith and get engaged within six months, and around the same average of couples get a pet together. The latter does not seem like the best of ideas as there are also higher odds of breaking up around this six-month mark too, and what would happen to the pooch in this instance?

Even though it only takes three months to say, "I love you," it can take up to two years to really get over a relationship and seriously begin dating again. Maybe the best advice is to work on farting as a couple first. You could spend your six month anniversary at the local Mexican restaurant because a huge burrito with lots of beans is super sexy. Am I right?
