How else would you explain this weird quirk one cat owner recently discovered that’s quickly becoming an Internet sensation?

#2 It all started with a stray cord laying on the floor in a circle.

#3 This owner noticed that his cat would go straight for it every time and sit in the middle of the circle, which was a little weird.

#4 So he tried an experiment and made a red circle in tape on the floor.

#5 He was shocked when his cat came running over to examine the tape.

#6 Again, the cat sat inside its center, as predicted, just chilling like, "Yeah? So what about it?"

#7 Was it a fluke? There was only way to find out…

#8 Nope!

#9 The cat loved the second circle just as much, and look how perfectly they fit!

#10 He shared the results of his experiment online and soon cat owners everywhere were trying it and sharing their results.

#11 As you can see, a circle made from anything will do the trick!

#12 Put your paws in the air, like you just don't care, if you love sitting in circles!

#13 Scientists aren’t sure why the cats are drawn to the circles.

#14 The most popular theory is that the illusion of a closed space gives the cats a feeling of security in an otherwise exposed and open area.

#15 Ofcourse there's always going to be one furry rebel without a cause that WILL NOT CONFORM TO SOCIETAL PRESSURE!

Or just has bad spacial skills.

#16 We might never know for sure what it is about these circles that fascinate cats, but does it really matter why?

As long as the furry freaks keep us laughing, I think that’s a good enough reason.
