#1 First of all, it’s you who needs forgiveness

That's the point. We think that forgiveness concerns someone who offended us. That it'll get this burden off their chest. The truth is, forgiveness is important for us. We can't move on without it. We need to forgive to let our offenses go and stop living in the past.First of all, it's you who needs forgiveness

#2 It helps us to move on

Not granting forgiveness means we hold grudges, contempt, and dissatisfaction. It means keeping the pain inside. We're constantly thinking about the events that hurt us again and again instead of focusing on more pleasant prospects.

#3 Forgiveness is for everyone

Not only for those who apologized. Otherwise, what's the point of forgiveness? Strong people forgive even those who aren't worth it or else the rancor will affect other people through our behavior. It may become our trauma and complex and cause mistrust to people around us.

#4 To forgive means to let go

Only when we forgive can we come to terms with our past in a way that won't interfere with our future. When we let go of our past and our pain we clear the way to new emotions and feelings.
