What if the heart that we have made into a home decides you are not allowed to stay there anymore?

What if that heart wants you to go away so that someone else can create a place? What if that heart starts beating for another heart that’s not yours? Well, the questions are many, but do you have answers for any?

I know that it sounds wonderful when someone says that home isn’t a place but a person. And when you finally get the chance to unpack and settle in that home, you certainly forget everything else.

But what after that? The heart that you have called home has made you a promise that it will never leave you alone, but like many other promises in life, even this one doesn’t come with a guarantee.

That heart will leave, the feelings will change and you will be left with nothing eventually.

It is always fun in the beginning when you have just made that heart a home, but when it all ends, you are left alone. While once you were living in the warmth and comfort of a heart, you are now trying to find a space in the busiest of streets where you won’t feel alone.

Whatever you dreamt of and whatever you planned for in life has flipped upside down and there’s nothing that can fill that void.

So, why do something that is so uncertain? Why do you want to put in so many efforts into something that will leave you with nothing but pain? It’s not easy to mend a broken heart when the person you called your home leaves you alone. Hence, there’s no point in getting into something that is not totally yours.

Instead of that, make your own heart a place where you feel happy in your own company.

Don’t run behind another heart to feel complete when you can do it on your own. Don’t make yourself feel that you are not enough for yourself because there’s no better place in this world for you than your own heart.

The day you will love to be with yourself is the day you will find real happiness in life.
