A 34-year-old Reddit user whose name has not been revealed said that she and her spouse, 37, have been struggling to conceive.

They decided to explore surrogacy and were overjoyed when the user's younger sister, 30, volunteered to carry the baby.

However, the Reddit user's excitement immediately changed to disappointment when her husband recommended doing it the "conventional way," which meant having sex with the Reddit user's younger sister rather than implanting one of her fertilized eggs in vitro fertilization.

Her husband claimed he was merely doing it to save 'time and money' (IVF may cost up to $30,000), but she insisted they were financially prepared.

She said she was 'shocked, devastated, and uncomfortable' with his suggestion and ultimately 'shut it down.'

She said that if they went ahead with it, she would always remember "how the baby was conceived."

But now she claims he is 'guilting' her and accusing her of being selfish because he has always 'wanted to be a dad.'

Many people were disturbed and disgusted by her husband's actions.

She explained that her sister still has 'no idea' of the situation.

She also added that they were 'financially ready' for surrogacy, so money was not the problem.
