Local officials have revealed a bizarre case of bullying where a parent has gotten involved to help her son target another child.

The mother in question was 30-year-old Ashley Ruffin who is accused of grabbing the victim by the hair and arm allowing her son along with another bully to hit him.

There are however conflicting accounts that dispute the allegations. Ruffin herself recorded her arrest and posted the video on her socials.

The County Sherriff revealed these details to the press after victim testimony where they claimed that they were sitting outside a sport’s complex when the incident occurred.

When the two boys started attacking the victim, his friends ran over to help only for the mother to allegedly intervene and physically restrain the victim.

Ruffin is also accused of pulling out a taser during the scuffle. She has since been charged with battery and child abuse.

Ruffin denied those charges and made a Facebook Live video where she said that she was in fact trying to pull her son away from the situation.

The children involved may also face juvenile charges for battery.

This image from another video was shared by Ruffin's husband who claimed that the other children who brought charges against Ruffin had in fact been bullying their child repeatedly at school. this video shows them violently attacking their son while on the ground.

Ruffin also addressed these allegations in a live video where she claimed that the truth would come out ultimately.

The County Sheriff said "There is zero excuse for an adult, especially a parent, to be physically involved in a juvenile dispute. "Kids need to have leadership from their parents and taught how to handle disputes properly."

Opinion was split on whether the mother did the right thing. With facts still a little obscure, it is still too early to call.

This commenter shared a story that revealed that perhaps a parent stepping in was not as unique a thing as we thought.

"I vividly remember something like this happening when I was in middle school in the 80's.
A classmate was constantly being bullied, he approached teachers for help, who looked at it as boys being boys, and the PE teacher even told the kid to toughen up!

His mom stepped up!"

Some were still vehemently against her behaviour and intervention and called for jail time.

"This loser was involved with "jumping" a child. She set it up & literally grabbed the boy by his hair & arm while 2 boys beat him up. I can not condone what this sorry excuse for a mother did. She's like a gang leader for kids. This is the behaviour she models? She needs jail time!"

Some mother's however sympathised with her situation.

"Ya know what?  I can understand this.  My kid has been bullied. This kid asked for our address so he could “spray paint our garage.” When I heard this, I said “if that little shit vandalizes my house, I will beat his ass.” My son said “yeah I told him that.”  I don’t F around"
