TikTok user @arianasavannah opens up on the dark side of pretty privilege saying that her attractive face has made other women act mean towards her.

Taking to TikTok, Ariana while doing a random makeup video started the topic by saying that it is difficult for her to talk on this topic but she is looking forward to how people respond.

She shares that even though there are many privileges associated with being a pretty person but there is also “a bad side that no one talks about”, she said.

Ariana said that she has struggled to make girlfriends, particularly in college.

She continued: "College was really the hardest point for me but girls will always be like ‘oh my gosh, I love you so much, you’re so gorgeous, we’re gonna hang out.’ And the time comes around and I always am left out, and talked about poorly behind my back, and it never makes sense because I am always being so kind, so genuine."

She added: “I’m honestly completely confident that it’s nothing to do with my personality at all.”

Ariana says during her college days she would go home during weekends and cry to her mother about how difficult it is for her to make friends and how girls are mean to her.

She said: "They were like Ari, it’s so obvious. And I’m like well f***ing tell me because I’m missing something, it’s not adding up, I don’t know what’s going on. They were like you don’t understand how people see you.

“So they start telling me like Ari, people don’t like to not be the prettiest person in the room, and I’m like what are you talking about? Because that’s not something I think about. B*****s are all pretty, I love women, everyone is a bad b**** in their own way.”

Ariana's family told her that her pretty looks can be intimidating and that can make people uncomfortable.

She said: "If you know me, you know I don’t carry myself that way, I was so confused and thought this probably is not true, there is no way this is the reason my whole life I can’t make girlfriends."

The video was later made private but it has blown up on social media and has been viewed more than two million times and its follow-up video receiving views more than 350,000 views.

In another follow-up video, she said she has now found a group of guys that have become her best friends.

As a matter of fact, Ariana isn’t the first TikToker to speak about the downsides of pretty privilege.

TikTok user @tabithaamaraa says that people may assume you’re “stuck up”, and other women may see you as “competition”.

“If you ask for opinions on clothing, hairstyles, they [other women]  might lie to you because they don’t want you to look better than them,” she said.
