Her family says her condition worsened rapidly after what was meant to be a joyful holiday
The family of a woman from the UK has spoken out after she was urgently taken to a hospital in Spain in what’s now being described as a life-threatening situation.
Poppy-mae Crutchley had been enjoying a getaway with her friends when things suddenly took a serious and terrifying turn.
According to her family, Poppy is currently being treated at a hospital in Spain. Her father, Simon Crutchley, even shared a picture showing his daughter connected to hospital machines, saying she is now “fighting for her life.”
Poppy, who is 29 and from Worcester in the UK, was on her very first girls’ trip for a friend’s hen party when things began to go horribly wrong.
Her family thinks that a tattoo she got while abroad could have triggered the medical issues. Doctors in Spain believe she’s experiencing multiple organ failure.
To help cover the rising costs of her care and a possible medical return to the UK, a GoFundMe page has been launched in support of Poppy and her loved ones.

Her dad shared an emotional message on the donation page, writing: "All I can put it down to is a tattoo she had on her wrist two days before this picture."
"Now she's 29 but she's still my little girl. I don't believe in religion but if there's a God up there then I beg you to send my baby a little help to pull through this because I need her."
"She's too young and fantastic to be taken yet."
Poppy began to feel sick on June 29, just a few days after her arrival, and was first admitted to a hospital in Benidorm. She was later transferred to another facility that could provide more specialized treatment.
The GoFundMe page was created by one of her close friends, who explained how things went from normal to frightening so quickly.
She shared: "She went away on her first girls' holiday for a friend's hen do. On the first day Poppy enjoyed herself with friends, a couple of drinks and even had a tattoo."

"Instantly after the tattoo, Poppy felt unwell, that unwell that she had taken herself to the hospital where instantly and amazingly they acted straight away due to no oxygen in her body and fluid on her heart."
"'Poppy was transferred to another hospital in Spain last night that specialises in what she needs."
"As it stands currently, they are unsure at this moment in time if it is a bacterial infection (from the tattoo maybe?) or if she has been spiked."
"We all have faith in getting her back to her normal bubbly beautiful self, and with your help we can give her the best chance possible."
