Amber Cavanagh suffered two life-threatening strokes in 2021
A woman who briefly died and was brought back to life after suffering two major strokes in December 2021 has shared what she experienced before doctors were able to save her.
Amber Cavanagh, a psychic medium from Canada, was just 40 years old when the strokes occurred and dramatically changed the course of her life.
Medical staff warned her family that her condition was extremely serious and asked them to come to the hospital to say their goodbyes, explaining that she was unlikely to survive the helicopter transfer to another medical facility.
"I was very, very near to death, and even my kids had to come and say goodbye," Amber told Tyla earlier this year. "It's like you're trapped. I could understand everything everyone was saying, but I couldn't speak."
While she was close to death, Amber later explained to The Other Side NDE YouTube channel that she remembered entering what she described as a beautiful and peaceful garden.
She recalled the moment clearly, saying: "I could see my husband, I could see my body, but I didn't have a lot of attachment to my body. It was like I closed my eyes and opened them in this beautiful garden."
"The grass and the water was like nothing I have ever felt in my life. I think I wasted more time feeling my feet in the grass than actually making this decision to come back."
"I knew I was there to make a decision and nobody was going to make it for me."
Amber also remembered seeing a glow she described as the light of God and said she was not alone during the experience. "My guides, who I had gotten to know very well were there on a bench," she added.
The now 44-year-old said she could see her husband and children during this time, although she did not interact with them directly.
She continued by explaining: "I saw a couple of my animals that had passed, and I saw one that hadn't passed. But she would pass before I got out of the hospital."
Amber also said she saw her mother-in-law before her guides presented her with a choice about whether she should remain there or return to her life in the physical world.
Describing the final moments of the experience, Amber told Tyla: "I finally made the decision that I want to come back. And as just as quick as I went there," she said, referring to the peaceful meeting place, "I wasn't there."
After waking, Amber spent several weeks in hospital, and doctors initially believed she would require long-term care for the rest of her life.
Now described as a miracle patient, Amber not only survived but has gone on to make a significant recovery and share her story.
