Woman Ends Up In Hospital After Accidentally Using Super Glue Instead Of Eye Drops

We all have done mixups in life that turned into horrible mistakes but never the ones that almost cost us our lives.

Well, this TikTok user @icyylyd shared a video documenting her visit to the hospital after she mistakenly used super glue in place of eye drops.

Yes, you heard that right, the lady super glued her eyes. 

The creator Lyd said that she reached for her eye drops when she woke up and accidentally grabbed the glue instead.

Her video - which has been viewed 4.9 million times - is a compilation of photos accompanied by words on the screen chronicling the steps her doctors took to separate her upper and lower eye lids.

The first is of her eye glued shut with the words, "Hospital after mistaking my superglue bottle for my eye drops and my eye shut :))"

Lyd shared that next, "they had [her] apply an ointment that breaks down and dissolves the glue."

Unfortunately, that was unsuccessful. 

Lyd shared:

"That didn't work so they started poking at the glue trying to separate my eye."

Finally, she said:

"They took me to a private room and used a metal tool to pry it open and finally got it to open."

During the whole process, Lyd revealed that she is "in so much pain."

People expressed their horror over Lyd's trouble and pain.

Some assumed that it was hospitals's fault but Lyd later clarified that it was actually her mistake.
